Hearn Explains Exactly How Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul Will End

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn has explained how the showdown between his client, former Heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua, and boxer-influencer Jake Paul will end.

“Santa Claus came early with 400 bags full of money and said, ‘AJ, do you want the best Christmas of your life?’ And we said, ‘Yes, please.’ And that’s basically how the fight was made.”

“Paul is absolutely crazy for agreeing to this fight. The fight will end when Anthony Joshua wants it to end. He’s getting a purse that’s close to the biggest of his career. Thanks to Jake Paul and MVP for the opportunity. How could we say no? I’m not going to sit here and say it’s going to be fight of the year.”

“The only person this is dangerous for is Jake Paul. He’s absolutely crazy. And don’t start telling me, ‘Is there something in the contract about boxing carefully?’ No — it’s the exact opposite.”

“We’ll go in there, do our job quickly, destroy him, get on a plane and go home to celebrate Christmas. It won’t even last four rounds. The fight ends the moment AJ lands on Jake Paul’s chin,” said Hearn.

The bout will take place on December 19 in Miami, USA. It will be Anthony Joshua’s second appearance in America. The last time, he lost by stoppage to Andy Ruiz.
