Haney Outboxes Norman to Become a Champion in His Third Weight Class

On November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Ring IV event took place, headlined by the WBC Light Heavyweight title fight between David Benavidez and Anthony Yarde.

On the undercard, a WBO Welterweight title bout was held between champion Brian Norman (28-1, 22 KOs) and former undisputed Lightweight champion Devin Haney (33-0, 15 KOs).

The fight went to the scorecards, ending in a unanimous decision for Haney: 114–113, 117–110 and 116–111. Norman was knocked down in the second round.

In his previous bout, Haney defeated Jose Carlos Ramirez by decision. Norman, in his last outing, knocked out Japan’s Sasaki in the fifth round.
