Haney vs Garcia Rematch Still Relevant – Bill Shares Update on Negotiations

Bill Haney, trainer and father of former undisputed champion Devin Haney, says that talks for a rematch with Ryan Garcia are ongoing, despite Garcia’s recent loss.

“Right now, we’re expecting the same rematch date we agreed on. It will be October, and we want to beat him.

Ryan’s loss to Rolando Romero hasn’t changed anything for us. It didn’t affect how we’re preparing.

We’ve spent time negotiating this fight, and we believe it’s going to be the next one,” Haney said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

Initially, Haney and Garcia were expected to face each other if they both won at the Times Square event. Devin defeated Jose Carlos Ramirez, while Ryan lost to Rolando Romero.
