Gvozdyk Could Debut in Zuffa Boxing in Early February: Opponent Named

Former world light heavyweight champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk may debut in Dana White's inaugural boxing promotion, Zuffa Boxing. According to insider Dan Rafael, the Ukrainian's first fight under the new banner is targeted for February 1, 2026.

Zuffa has requested permission from the Nevada Athletic Commission to host events at the UFC APEX (officially renamed Meta APEX as of 2026) starting January 23—where Callum Walsh and Carlos Ocampo are set to headline the promotion's debut. Additional cards are reportedly planned for February 1 and February 14, with the latter expected to be headlined by a heavyweight clash between Efe Ajagba and Frank Martin.

Rafael reported that Gvozdyk's team (21-2, 17 KOs) has reached an agreement to face Radivoje Kalajdzic (29-3, 21 KOs).

Oleksandr Gvozdyk recently debuted in the cruiserweight division, securing a 3rd-round knockout victory over Anthony Holloway.

Radivoje Kalajdzic is a seasoned veteran who has faced top-tier opposition, including a 2019 title bout against Artur Beterbiev and a competitive decision loss to David Morrell in August 2024.

The Zuffa Boxing events are expected to be broadcast on Paramount+ as part of TKO Group’s new media rights deal.
