Expert Slams Fury for Complaining About a ‘Stolen’ Win Over Usyk

Former world champion and now boxing pundit Carl Froch has fired back at Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KO) for claiming his victories over Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KO) were “stolen” and for demanding that any third bout be staged in Britain.

Froch warns that Fury only harms his own reputation by “moaning and whining” about the two defeats. Like many fans, he is frustrated that the Briton shows no sportsmanship and refuses to accept that he twice lost to a smaller yet superior rival.

I’ve just been reading how Tyson Fury keeps whining about losing to Usyk and saying he wants a ‘fair chance’ in a third fight.

He had the first fight and was lucky not to be knocked out in the ninth— the referee basically saved him. Then he gets a rematch, tries again, and loses again.

There’s no shame in losing to someone like Oleksandr Usyk. He’s one of the best in the business. But don’t come out in retirement crying, ‘Oh, I just want fair judging, a fair result.’

You got a fair chance. The judges made the right call— not once, but twice. You were beaten fair and square.

You’re a good boxer, but not as good as you think. You had height, reach and weight on Usyk, and a naturally smaller man still beat you. Usyk’s really a cruiser by nature— he moved up to heavyweight and cleaned it out.

Learn how to lose with dignity. You’re, for heaven’s sake, done. Accept it and move on,” said Froch.

Background: Usyk defeated Fury twice in 2024, after which Fury announced his retirement. Saudi entertainment chief Turki Alalshikh has since said the “Gypsy King” will return in 2026, and Fury himself posted: “18 April 2026, Wembley Stadium. Trilogy!”
