Frank Warren: “Usyk – Dubois Rematch Became the Most Attended Boxing Event of 2025”

Head of promotional company Queensberry Frank Warren highly praised the success of the rematch between world champion Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Daniel Dubois, which took place in the summer of 2025. The official stated that this event surpassed all other boxing shows of the year in terms of tickets sold.

Warren emphasized the high public interest in the Heavyweight division, citing as an example the organization of the boxing evening featuring the Ukrainian.

“Last year, when we did the fight between him and Daniel Dubois, it was the highest-selling boxing event in the world. That show had more people at it than any boxing show in the world last year. And that is a Queensberry show. That is what we did. So that tells us about the attraction of the Heavyweight division, the attraction of the sport. The sport is in a very good place right now.

Usyk has three more belts. He will have to make mandatory defenses. I hope he will still do that. It’s a shame he didn't fight Fabio, because we would have liked that fight,” said Warren.

To recall, Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) and Daniel Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) last entered the ring in the summer of 2025. That bout ended with the victory of the Ukrainian boxer by knockout in the 5th round.

Currently, Usyk’s team is working on organizing a fight against Deontay Wilder. Dubois’ next opponent is yet unknown.
