Frank Sanchez and Richard Torrez Jr. Agree on IBF Heavyweight Eliminator

The IBF Heavyweight eliminator between Frank Sanchez and Richard Torrez Jr. is scheduled for March 28.

According to Dan Rafael, after several refusals and prolonged negotiations regarding purses, the parties have finally agreed on the terms for the bout. The fight is expected to take place on the undercard of the clash between Sebastian Fundora and Keith Thurman in Las Vegas, USA.

The winner of this bout will become the mandatory challenger for the IBF world title held by Oleksandr Usyk.

Frank Sanchez (25-1, 18 KOs) last entered the ring in February 2025 against Ramon Echeverria, winning by technical knockout in the third round.

In November, Richard Torrez Jr. (14-0, 12 KOs) defeated Tomas Salek by technical knockout in the first round.
