Hearn Receives Calls About “Big Fights” for Dave Allen

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn discussed his plans for Dave Allen, who recently lost to Arslanbek Makhmudov by decision.

“Dave Allen will be back. His contract includes a rematch clause, but I really want to sit down with him because I believe he’s one of the biggest names in British boxing. If he keeps improving, he’ll get back into big fights.

Tonight, I already got two phone calls about potential big fights for Dave Allen. People saw that crowd and asked, ‘Who is this guy?’ I’m a bit sad right now, but at the same time I’m excited for Dave Allen’s future,” said Hearn.

Allen (24-8-2, 19 KOs) lost his last fight by judges’ decision.
