Bob Arum Explains Why He’s Confident Fury Will Defeat Usyk

Top Rank founder and CEO Bob Arum shared his thoughts on the rematch between WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and former champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).

“I’ve not only been Tyson Fury’s co-promoter but also a fan of his. Maybe some of you watched Tyson’s first fight with Wilder. That bout ended in a draw, and Wilder landed a punch that no man should have been able to recover from. But Tyson got up.

In the second fight, Fury knew what he had to do and won in dominant fashion. I’m eagerly looking forward to seeing him fight the same way and succeed this Saturday,” Arum stated.

The rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is scheduled for December 21 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In their first bout, Usyk won via split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) since 1999.
