Former two-division world champion Andre Ward has revealed that he would be ready to face Anthony Joshua immediately if the opportunity arose.
“It’s funny, but I’ve talked about a fight with Joshua before, and Bill Haney brought it up to me again three or four weeks ago when we were in the Bay.
We were talking, and I was like, you know what, I’d take that fight right now,” Ward said.
Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs), 35, has not fought since his stoppage loss to Daniel Dubois in 2024.
Ward (32-0, 16 KOs), now 41, retired unbeaten in 2017. He has never competed in the heavyweight division.
