Lyndon Arthur will undoubtedly fight off the back foot. That’s how he boxes, fight after fight — and against a shorter but more aggressive opponent, there’s no reason to change approach.

Yarde isn’t a non-stop pressure fighter, but he’s a man who constantly pursues his opponent, throwing with power. Physically strong, Anthony held up well under fire in the early rounds against then-champion Artur Beterbiev. He’s also excellent at punishing mistakes when opponents try to meet him head-on.

The two Brits are the same age — 33 years old. And in terms of experience, both have seen almost everything the sport can offer.

Arthur has shared the ring with Dmitrii Bivol. Yarde has faced Beterbiev and Sergey Kovalev.

Lyndon was a world champion — IBO version. Anthony challenged for world titles twice but has never won a title fight.

They also have a common history — they fought in 2021. Yarde won by knockout in the fourth round.

This will be a fight of moments and episodes. Neither man is going to throw a huge number of punches from the opening bell or move excessively. But expect plenty of exchanges at mid-range.

Both fighters activate in bursts. Arthur waits to catch his opponent coming in, then strings together short combinations. Yarde stalks his opponent and turns up the heat as soon as he sees an opening.

If this fight goes the distance, expect around 350–400 punches combined. Not much more.

In 2024, Yarde has fought twice — winning once by stoppage, once by decision.

Arthur has been in the ring once — a hard-fought win over Liam Cameron.

That fight against Cameron is probably the best reference point for how Yarde vs Arthur II might look. A lot of time has passed since their first meeting, and both have gained valuable experience.

Yarde has a clear advantage here. The athletic Brit punches harder than most in the division. Even Artur Beterbiev looked uncomfortable under Anthony’s early pressure.

Arthur is not a puncher — and compared to Yarde, the gap is even more noticeable.

Both men have been stopped — but it’s important to note by whom.

Arthur was knocked out by Yarde — one of the division’s heaviest hitters. Yarde, in turn, lost inside the distance to Kovalev and Beterbiev — two of the hardest punchers in recent boxing history.

So overall, both Brits can take a shot. But in the ring with explosive opponents, there’s always a risk of ending up on the canvas.

For both, this will be their first time fighting at Tottenham Arena in London.

However, for Yarde — born in London — it will feel much closer to home.

The visitor from Manchester may not be welcomed with the same warmth.

This isn’t a career-defining fight for either man — more of a solid, intriguing domestic clash.

Right now, world titles are some distance away from both Yarde and Arthur. So it’s important for them to stay active and relevant in the rankings.

Arthur’s motivation is clear — to prove the result of the first fight was a fluke.

But stylistically, that’s a difficult task. A cautious counterpuncher who often shells up behind a high guard is an inviting target for Yarde’s heavy shots.

The underdog will need to do more. Move more. Find moments to stop Yarde’s momentum and land his own heavy counters.

Yarde’s path to victory is simple — execute the same plan he had in their first fight, and do it well.
