Daniel Lapin is a Ukrainian professional boxer who competes in the light heavyweight division. He was born on June 18, 1997, in Wroclaw, Poland, but grew up in Crimea.
Biography:
Daniel began boxing at the age of six, following in the footsteps of his father, Honored Coach of Ukraine Serhiy Lapin. His entire family has strong ties to the sport of boxing.
Career:
Lapin is a Master of Sports of Ukraine, a multiple-time national champion, and a European championship medalist. He has fought 290 bouts as an amateur.
He made his professional debut on August 1, 2020. Daniel is part of Oleksandr Usyk’s team and Usyk17 Promotions. He has had 11 professional fights, winning all of them, with four victories by KO.
As a professional, Daniel Lapin holds the IBO Continental title (since 2023), as well as the WBA Inter-Continental and IBF Inter-Continental titles (both since 2024) in the light heavyweight division. He frequently appears on the undercard of Oleksandr Usyk’s fights. In December 2024, he successfully defended the WBA title and won the vacant IBF International belt in a fight against Dylan Colin.
