Plant vs. McCumby Fight Gets New Date

According to insider Dan Rafael, the bout between Caleb Plant (22-2, 13 KOs) and Trevor McCumby (28-0, 21 KOs) has been rescheduled.

The American fighters will meet on the undercard of the fight between Mexican WBA, WBC, and WBO super middleweight champion (up to 76.2 kg) Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) and Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs).

The show will take place on September 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA.

Caleb Plant has not fought since March 2023, when he lost by unanimous decision to David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs). Trevor McCumby also won a unanimous decision against Christopher Pearson (17-4-1, 12 KOs) in January.

In 2021, Plant faced Canelo. They got into a brawl at the press conference, and in the ring, Saul knocked out Caleb in the 11th round.
