Ngannou Among Possible Opponents to Replace Gervonta in Fight With Jake Paul

According to insider Mike Coppinger, two new names have been added to the list of possible replacements for Gervonta Davis in a fight against Jake Paul. These are former UFC fighters Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou has had two professional boxing matches — and lost both: a decision to Tyson Fury and a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. Diaz faced Jake Paul in 2023 — Paul won that fight by decision over ten rounds.

At this moment, the Paul vs. Davis bout has not been officially canceled. At the end of October, it was reported that Gervonta is facing a civil lawsuit accusing him of assaulting a woman. Promoter company MVP has launched an internal investigation regarding the case.
