Bakole Confident – No One Can Stop Usyk

Congolese heavyweight Martin Bakole (21-2-1, 16 KOs) shared bold thoughts on reigning unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs), who currently holds the WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO belts.

“No one can beat Usyk — except me. I think Deontay Wilder is finished — his time has passed. Usyk is a boxer through and through: his mind, his movement. Right now, I don’t think anyone can stop him… except Martin Bakole.

I know what I’m saying because I learned to box from my left-handed brother. I know how to cut off the ring and shut an opponent down. Daniel Dubois doesn’t.

I actually expected Usyk to lose to the ‘Gypsy King’ (Tyson Fury), but I was shocked that he beat him twice. Joshua is a solid guy, a good fighter — but he can’t cut off the ring. Dubois will never change — he sticks to one style. But Usyk is better,” Bakole said.

Earlier, promoter Frank Warren ruled out the possibility of a fight between Bakole and rising British star Moses Itauma.

The Usyk vs. Dubois rematch for the undisputed heavyweight title (over 90.7 kg) is scheduled for July 19 at Wembley Stadium in London, UK. A full statistical analysis of their first fight is available via the provided link.
