Martin Bakole: “If I’m Given the Chance in 2025, I’ll Become World Champion”

In an exclusive interview with Ready to Fight, Congolese heavyweight Martin Bakole (21–1, 16 KOs) revealed his plan to step into the ring against the winner of the upcoming bout between IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois (22–2, 21 KOs) and WBO interim champion Joseph Parker (35–3, 23 KOs).

Last year, I said that 2025 would be my year. So this is my year. I’m planning to wait for the outcome of Parker vs. Dubois and aim for a fight with the winner. I believe that if I’m given the chance in 2025, I’ll become the world champion,” Bakole stated confidently.

The showdown between Daniel Dubois and Joseph Parker is set for February 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Back in August, Martin Bakole stopped American prospect Jared Anderson in the fifth round. His most likely next opponent is Efe Ajagba, with the winner of that clash becoming the IBF mandatory challenger for the title on the line between Dubois and Parker.

On January 11, The Ring magazine held its annual awards ceremony in London, UK. You can check out the winners in all categories via the provided link.
