Jake Paul: “Give Me Badou Jack Next”

Jake Paul has welcomed his new spot in the WBA Cruiserweight top 15—and immediately called out reigning champion Badou Jack.

“Respect to the WBA and Gilberto Mendoza for not being afraid to break the rules and recognize me. I see those rankings with champion Badou Jack on top. Give me him next,” Paul said.

On 28 June Paul out-pointed Julio César Chávez Jr. by unanimous decision. Days later the WBA slotted Paul in at No. 14 in the Cruiserweight rankings, making a future title shot a formal possibility.
