Expert Names the Reason WBC Stripped Crawford of the Title

Former world champion and boxing analyst Timothy Bradley commented on the WBC stripping former undisputed Super Middleweight champion Terence Crawford of his title.

“This is about getting Hamzah Sheeraz the belt. That’s what this is about. Whose guy is this? It’s not about the money. It’s about Sheeraz getting that belt without having to fight Crawford,” said Bradley.

As a reminder, the World Boxing Council (WBC) stripped Terence Crawford (42-0, 31 KOs) of the world title due to unpaid sanctioning fees after he won the belt in his fight against Canelo Alvarez.

In July, Hamzah Sheeraz (22-0-1, 18 KOs) made his Super Middleweight debut against Edgar Berlanga and scored a fifth-round knockout.
