Interim WBA heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley has spoken about the possibility of facing 20-year-old prospect Moses Itauma.
“Right now, Moses and I are going our separate ways. First, we both need to win world titles before we can even talk about possibly crossing swords.
But at the moment, there are plenty of opportunities for us both to test ourselves and just stay busy before we really need to think seriously about potentially stepping into the ring at the same time,” said Wardley.
Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KOs) is set to face Joseph Parker on October 25 at the O2 Arena in London.
Itauma (13-0, 11 KOs) will return on December 13 in Manchester, though his opponent has not yet been named.
