Official: Vergil Ortiz and Erickson Lubin to Fight for Interim Title

Promotional company Golden Boy Promotions has confirmed that the fight between 27-year-old American Vergil Ortiz, interim WBC Super Welterweight champion, and his 29-year-old compatriot Erickson Lubin is officially set.

The bout is scheduled for November 8 and will be broadcast live on DAZN. The exact venue and undercard will be announced later.

Ortiz (23-0, 21 KOs) outboxed Israil Madrimov by decision in his most recent outing. Lubin (27-2, 19 KOs) has scored two stoppage wins in his last three fights.
