Usyk Commences Training for Bout with Dubois in Poland

Renowned Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, the reigning WBA, WBO, and IBF super heavyweight world champion, has begun training for his upcoming fight against Daniel Dubois. The bout is set for August 26 in the city of Wroclaw, Poland.

Usyk voiced his contentment with the chosen location for the fight and expressed gratitude towards the Polish people for their support of Ukrainians following the Russian invasion.

"I am pleased to be in Poland. Seven years ago, I faced Krzysztof Glowacki in the ring, and now we're planning a fight in Wroclaw. I want to thank the Polish people who warmly welcomed thousands of my fellow Ukrainians," Usyk shared with TVP Sport.

He further commented that one of his current objectives is to arrange the fight with Dubois, offering a source of entertainment for Ukrainians during these challenging times.

"It will be a beacon of joy for them in such a turbulent situation," said Usyk. He pointed out that Wroclaw is only 300 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, which will allow fans to easily travel to the fight's location.
