Tyson Fury’s Next Opponent Could Be Arslanbek Makhmudov

Everything Boxing, citing British analyst Gareth Davies, reported that the next opponent for former unified Heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury could be the Russian boxer representing Canada, Arslanbek Makhmudov. The confrontation could take place in April 2026.

Previously, The Ring Magazine informed that Fury and Joshua had agreed to a fight in the main show of the Riyadh Season tournament in 2026. Before that, they are both scheduled to have one fight next year as well.

Davies later discussed this confrontation with Makhmudov's previous opponent, David Allen, who lost to Arslanbek by judges' decision.

– This might be news to you, but I’ve heard backstage that a fight between Arslanbek Makhmudov and Tyson Fury is potentially being discussed. What have you heard about it? What do you think?

– I think it’s a good fight. I think Makhmudov would be quite popular here. He made a good impression. Everyone saw that he’s a good guy. I think he’s a very good fighter, but he’s not good enough to beat Tyson. He’s perfect for Tyson, isn’t he? So, yeah, I think it’s a good fight, – said Allen.
