Lithuanian boxer Eimantas Stanionis shared his opinion on a possible Super Welterweight clash between WBA Interim Champion Jaron Ennis and WBC Interim titleholder Vergil Ortiz Jr.
“Vergil is a good fighter. He’s strong, smart, and durable. A very good one — but I just think Jaron would beat him. No doubt about it.
Jaron is an excellent fighter. He’s got everything — speed, power — but most importantly, precision. Believe me, he’s very accurate and very sharp,” said Stanionis.
On October 11, Jaron Ennis (35-0, 31 KOs) made his Super Welterweight debut with a first-round technical knockout victory over Uisma Lima.
Vergil Ortiz Jr. (23-0, 21 KOs) last fought in February, defeating Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision. His next fight is scheduled for November 8 against Erickson Lubin.
