Shakur Stevenson: “A four-division champion is on the way”

WBC Lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson shared his thoughts on his path in professional boxing, as well as a potential title run in a new division.

“During a marathon, a lot of people start too fast and break out in front, but I kept my steady pace. Now those sprinters are burned out, and I’m still moving forward with a clear goal,” Shakur wrote.

The American also used the hashtag #4DivisionChampOtw (“Four-division champion on the way” — ed.).

As a reminder, the day before it was officially announced that Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) will fight Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs). The matchup will headline The Ring VI on January 31 in New York, USA. The WBO and The Ring titles at Junior Welterweight, held by Teofimo, will be on the line.
