Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis to Be an Exhibition

Florida Athletic Commission executive director Timothy Shipman has confirmed that the planned fight between heavyweight boxer Jake Paul and lightweight champion Gervonta Davis will be staged as an exhibition.

“Such a fight cannot be held in a professional format — it will be an exhibition match. I’m currently reviewing the details. I’m sure there will be other conditions,” Shipman said.

It is reported that the bout will not go on the fighters’ official records and will feature larger gloves.

The information will only be fully official after the organizers’ announcement, though there is a possibility they may explore alternative solutions if they wish to stage a professional fight.
