Interim WBO Heavyweight champion Joseph Parker and WBA Interim titleholder Fabio Wardley responded to the question of whether Oleksandr Usyk can be beaten.
Host: “Usyk is at the top of the division. No doubt he’s the strongest. But can anyone beat him?”
Joseph Parker: “Me.”
Fabio Wardley: “Any guy can be beaten. We’ve all got two hands, two legs, and we all bleed. Usyk is a big puzzle, full of tricks, full of complexity. But he can be beaten too. He’s a great fighter, but not unbeatable.”
Host: “And you (to Parker) immediately said ‘Me.’”
Parker: “Yes, that’s me. Give me the chance. But listen, that’s not the focus right now. Right now I’m focused on this fight (with Fabio Wardley).”
The fight between Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs) and Fabio Wardley (19-0-1, 18 KOs) will take place on October 25 at the O2 Arena in London, England. The event will be broadcast live on DAZN.
In July, Oleksandr Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) won his rematch against Daniel Dubois by fifth-round knockout, reclaiming the undisputed Heavyweight championship of the world.
