
According to Boxing News Online, the WBA has ordered its featherweight champion, 28-year-old Briton Nick Ball, to make a mandatory title defense against 28-year-old American Brandon Figueroa.
The teams have until November 12 to reach an agreement. If no deal is made, a purse bid will be scheduled.
In his previous bout, Ball (23-0-1, 13 KOs) defeated Sam Goodman by decision. Figueroa (26-2-1, 19 KOs) last fought in the summer of 2025, earning a victory over Joet Gonzalez.
