WBO super featherweight champion Emanuel Navarrete and IBF titleholder Eduardo Nunez have been given 15 days to reach an agreement for their unification fight. The decision was announced during the 38th WBO Convention in Bogotá.
Navarrete’s previous bout (39-2-1, 32 KO) originally ended in a TKO win due to a cut, but the result was later changed to a no contest — Charlie Suarez’s team filed an appeal, arguing the cut came from a punch by Suarez.
Nunez (29-1, 27 KO) hasn’t lost since 2018. During that stretch, he has collected 19 straight wins, 17 of which came by knockout.
