Nature of Injury Revealed for Moses Itauma’s Postponed Return

Moses Itauma / Leigh Dawney, Queensberry Promotions

Details have emerged regarding the specific injury sustained by heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma. According to Queensberry Promotions head Frank Warren, the British boxer has been diagnosed with a bicep tear.

Due to this injury, Itauma's bout against American Jermaine Franklin, the postponement of which was previously reported, has been officially rescheduled. The fight, along with the "Magnificent 7" event, is now set for March 28, 2026, at the Co-op Live in Manchester.

In 2025, Moses Itauma had a highly successful run, securing two major victories by knocking out Mike Balogun and the experienced former world title challenger Dillian Whyte.

His upcoming opponent, Jermaine Franklin, enters the ring following a victory over Ivan Dychko. The American became the first boxer to outpoint the Kazakh heavyweight on the professional stage.

It is expected that the British prospect will be able to recover in time for the new date and return to the ring at the end of March.
