Lamont Roach Targets Shakur — and Picks Him to Beat Teofimo

WBA Super Featherweight champion Lamont Roach believes Shakur Stevenson will defeat Teofimo Lopez in their bout scheduled for January 31, 2026, in New York, USA. After that, Roach says he wants to face Stevenson himself.

“It’s a great fight. I can’t wait for it to happen.

I think Shakur wins. I believe that opens the door to a future mega-fight between me and Shakur,” said Roach.

Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) vs Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) will headline The Ring VI fight night. For Shakur, it will be his Junior Welterweight debut — straight against the reigning WBO champion. Right now, Stevenson holds the WBC title at Lightweight.
