Joshua Buatsi Defeats Zak Parker by Judges’ Decision

On November 1 in Manchester, UK, 32-year-old Joshua Buatsi faced his countryman, 31-year-old Zach Parker, in the main event of the night.

The fight went the distance and ended in a majority decision: 95-95 and 96-94, 96-94 — in favor of Joshua Buatsi, who claimed the WBA International light heavyweight title (79.4 kg / 175 lbs).

This bout marked Buatsi’s return after a defeat – earlier in 2025 he lost to Callum Smith by decision.

Parker (26-2, 18 KO) entered the fight on a four-win streak, with two victories coming by decision and two by stoppage. Buatsi now improves to (20-1, 13 KO).
