Joe Cordina defeats Gabriel Flores by unanimous decision

On the night of December 14 at Stockton Arena in Stockton, California, USA, a bout for the WBO International lightweight title (up to 61.2 kg / 135 lb) took place between Gabriel Flores (27-3, 8 KOs) and Joe Cordina (19-1, 9 KOs).

The fight went the full distance and ended with Cordina winning by unanimous decision. Judges’ scores: 114-113, 117-110, and 115-112 for the Briton.

For the 34-year-old Cordina, this was his second straight win. For the 25-year-old Flores, it was his first loss since July 2022, snapping a six-fight winning streak.
