On November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the Ring IV boxing event took place, headlined by the WBC Light Heavyweight world title fight between David Benavidez and Anthony Yarde.
On the undercard, a unification bout for the WBA, WBC and WBO Super Flyweight titles was held between champions Jesse Rodriguez (23-0, 16 KOs) and Fernando Martinez (18-1, 9 KOs).
The fight ended by knockout in the 10th round. Rodriguez countered with a sharp left hand to the head — and Martinez was unable to get up before the count finished.
Martinez had won his previous two fights — both decisions against Japan’s Kazuto Ioka in Japan. For Rodriguez, this was his second appearance of 2025; earlier in the year, he stopped Africa’s Kafu via 10th-round TKO.
