Former world champion, the American Deontay Wilder, claimed that the meeting between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua is a staged bout. He believes that a knockout of the Briton would only happen if the fight were genuine, but he does not truly believe that it is.
Jake Paul responded to Wilder during a press conference:
“I’m serving all these commenters with lawsuits for defaming my name. These people won’t stop lying. I take it as a compliment, but Deontay Wilder got hit in the head a lot by Tyson Fury. He’s definitely not the brightest guy.
There is nothing [like that] in AJ’s contract or mine. We are going to war. That has been the case in every one of my fights,” said Jake.
Joshua confirmed:
“Yeah, there is nothing like that in the contracts. Just like he said,” stated Anthony.
The bout will take place on December 19 in Miami, USA. By agreement, it will be a full 8-round fight, the result of which will go on the opponents' professional records.
