Jack Massey and Jai Opetaia: Promoter names likely opponents for Billam-Smith

Promoter of former cruiserweight world champion Chris Billam-Smith and head of Boxxer, Ben Shalom, has shared some details about his fighter’s future.

“He is still part of our plans but only for the right fights. We've offered him the Jack Massey fight. We love that fight. Jai Opetaia was another fight we could make - we want those fights.

For us it's about what fights excite us. Jack Massey, we want that fight, Jai Opetaia, I'd do that. But it's got to be fights that the broadcaster is going to be interested in at this stage.

Roman Fress wasn't something our broadcaster was interested in or anyone was, from the purse bid.

We want the fights but he's at a stage of his career where that's the only thing that's going to tick the box. He knows that.
