Ishmael Davies Claims British Title with Win Over Gilley

On November 15 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in the undercard of the rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn, Ishmael Davies and Sam Gilley met for the BBBofC British and Commonwealth Boxing Council titles in the super welterweight division.

The bout went the full distance, with Davies winning by unanimous decision: 115–114, and 115–113 twice.

Gilley still has no victories in 2025 — his previous fight ended in a draw.

Davies, meanwhile, ended his losing streak: after dropping two straight fights in 2024 and extending it to three in September, he rebounded this autumn with three bouts in three months, winning two of his last three.
