Isaac Cruz Wants the Winner of Teofimo–Shakur — Stevenson Reacts

Mexican Junior Welterweight boxer Isaac Cruz said he wants to fight the winner of the bout between Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson. They will meet on January 31 in a fight for the WBO title at Junior Welterweight, which Lopez currently holds.

“I’d like to fight the winner of Teofimo against Shakur.

I think it’s a 50-50 fight,” said Isaac Cruz.

Shakur Stevenson reacted to the statement:

“Now they need me, huh,” wrote the American.

Teofimo Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) vs Shakur Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) will headline The Ring VI fight night. For Shakur, it will be his Junior Welterweight debut — straight against the reigning WBO champion. Right now, Stevenson holds the WBC belt at Lightweight.
