Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn has confirmed that social media star-turned-cruiserweight boxer Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) will face WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) in a blockbuster bout scheduled for November.
“Paul vs. Chávez Jr. isn’t a bad fight at all. But we already know that in November, Gervonta Davis will be fighting Jake Paul.
After that, we’ll see how things unfold.”
“It’d be interesting to transition from Gervonta Davis to Anthony Joshua. I don’t think a fight with Chávez Jr. is a bad move. It’s a smart business decision.
I just hope Chávez takes it seriously — he doesn’t have much time, and life has already thrown enough challenges his way,”
said Hearn.
Before facing Davis, Jake Paul is set to fight Julio César Chávez Jr. on June 28 in the United States.
