Hearn on Joshua training with Usyk’s team: a disciplined, authoritarian environment

Matchroom Boxing head Eddie Hearn shared his view on how Anthony Joshua’s training will look if he works with Oleksandr Usyk’s team. The collaboration was officially announced by the former unified heavyweight champion himself.

“When you become that big, you start giving the orders yourself. That’s one of the worst things you can do.

AJ is moving into a new environment now — a very disciplined, authoritarian one. It’ll be: ‘Shut up and do your job.’ And in my opinion, at this stage of his career, it will be good for him,” Hearn said.

Joshua’s next fight — Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs) — will take place on December 19 in Miami, USA, against Jake Paul. Earlier, Anthony confirmed that Ben Davison will not be the coach preparing him for this bout.
