Floyd Mayweather on Possible Official Fight

Former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather has shared his thoughts on the possibility of staging an official fight in the future.

“There have been talks. Yes, there have been talks. It’s possible.

I’m not really training much yet. The fight (with Mike Tyson — ed.) will take place in 2026. We are finalizing all the details. But I’m sure it will be exciting for people and fans.

I just want to give the fans what they want to see — emotions. I’m confident it will be a spectacular event, and people from all over the world will enjoy it,” said Mayweather.

Floyd Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) last appeared in a professional ring in August 2017 against Conor McGregor, winning by technical knockout in the 10th round. An exhibition bout between Mayweather and Mike Tyson is scheduled for spring 2026.
