Erickson Lubin Calls Fight Poster Against Ortiz “Disrespectful”

American Super Welterweight boxer Erickson Lubin has reacted to the promotional poster for his fight against Vergil Ortiz, where Ortiz’s image is not only placed higher but also takes up more space.

“I want to say that this poster is somewhat disrespectful toward me and my team. They portrayed me somewhere in the dark. They showed Vergil like some kind of moon hanging over me and all that. It’s disrespectful, I don’t like it. It’s disrespectful to my brand.

I fought for a world title in just my fifth year as a pro. This is my 12th year as a professional. I haven’t taken a single step back. I’ve fought the best opponents, and Vergil Ortiz is no exception. He’s another top fighter. This is my third straight unbeaten opponent, and I’m striving to become ‘that guy’ in the Super Welterweight division.

Vergil Ortiz is a great opponent, and I think the fans are going to enjoy this one,” Lubin said.

The showdown between Lubin (27-2, 19 KOs) and Ortiz (23-0, 21 KOs) will take place on November 8 in Texas.
