Official: Donaire to Return on June 14

It’s official: former world champion Nonito Donaire (42-8, 28 KOs) of the Philippines will face Andrés Campos (17-2-1, 6 KOs) of Chile on June 14 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The bout will be contested for the WBA interim bantamweight title (limit: 53.5 kg / 118 lbs).

The 42-year-old Donaire last fought in July 2023, when he lost a unanimous decision to Alejandro Santiago. Prior to that, in June 2022, Donaire was stopped by Naoya Inoue.

In April, Andrés Campos scored a third-round TKO win over Jimson Garcia.
