Dillian Whyte Could Face Lawrence Okolie

Lawrence Okolie’s next fight will headline a boxing event on December 19 in Lagos, Nigeria. The show will be a joint promotion by Queensberry, Amir Khan’s AK Promotions, and Balmoral Group Promotions.

At the moment, the former champion does not have an opponent. AK Promotions CEO Khan said he has offered Dillian Whyte a fight with Okolie:

“We offered Dillian Whyte a fight with Lawrence Okolie. There’s bad blood between them, and it’s a fight fans around the world have been waiting a very long time for.

Lawrence is ranked No. 1 in the WBC rankings. Dillian has chased that belt for years. We’re offering him a lifeline — a last chance to become a world champion. We’ve made him a very strong offer — to fight Okolie — and we hope he accepts the challenge,” said Khan.

Balmoral Group Promotions CEO Ezekiel Adamu also commented on the potential matchup:

“We’re waiting for an answer from his team — whether he’ll accept the challenge,” said Adamu.
