Devin Haney on Fight with Norman: “I’m on a Completely Different Level”

American boxer Devin Haney shared his thoughts on the upcoming clash against WBO Welterweight Champion Brian Norman.

“I don’t know how good of a fighter he really is. He’s done what he was supposed to do against the opponents they put in front of him.

But I’m on a completely different level. I’ve been at this level since I was 20 or 21 years old. Nothing new for me. For him, it’s the first time — his big moment and first time at the top. I’ve already been here.

I’ll show that I’m several levels above him. I’ve been fighting top opponents, the best fighters in the world, for a long time. He hasn’t. I’m the first truly elite opponent he’s going to face. Honestly, I don’t know a single really strong fighter that he’s beaten,” said Haney.

The fight between Devin Haney (32-0, 15 KOs) and Brian Norman (28-0, 22 KOs) will take place on November 22 at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In May, Haney defeated Jose Ramirez by unanimous decision. In June, Norman successfully defended his title by knocking out Jin Sasaki in the fifth round.
