Dubois on Championship Glory: “I’m Ready to Give Everything I’ve Got Left”

British Heavyweight Daniel Dubois has spoken about his decision to part ways with trainer Don Charles. He emphasized that the move was entirely his own choice, and he expects a new coaching setup to help him once again become a world champion.

Yes, 100% (my own decision). I’ve been reflecting, and looking back, Don did a lot for me — together we won a world title. But I’m thinking about the future, about how I can improve, and yes, it was my decision.

Can a new trainer bring out more in me? I hope so. I’m ready to give everything I’ve got, everything that’s left at this stage of my career, to become a two-time Heavyweight world champion. That’s my goal. I’m prepared to do whatever it takes to achieve it.

Who will be my new trainer? Honestly, I can’t say right now. I need to sit down and have serious talks with the team about everything, including the structure. But there will definitely be an announcement soon,” said Dubois.

Earlier reports suggested that Tony Sims, former trainer of Anthony Joshua, could take over Dubois’ corner.

Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) ended his partnership with Don Charles a month after suffering a fifth-round knockout loss in the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk, with the Undisputed Heavyweight championship on the line.
