“I’m Back”: Charlo Reflects on Win Over LaManna

35-year-old former world champion Jermall Charlo (34-0, 23 KOs) shared his thoughts after stopping fellow American Thomas LaManna (39-6-1, 18 KOs).

“It feels good to be back. I’m grateful to everyone who stayed with me. I’m back. You know, sometimes you have to go through hard times to become better. I felt good, I was working, I felt my timing — big thanks to my coach Hylon Williams Sr. I just want to stay relevant, stay in the conversation. No more dark times — I’m keeping my head up,” Charlo said.

As a reminder, on the night of June 1, Jermall Charlo defeated Thomas LaManna by sixth-round TKO. This was Charlo’s first fight since November 2023, when he beat José Benavídez Jr. by unanimous decision.
