Benn on the Eubank Rivalry: “I Feel This Is the End of the Saga”

On November 15 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK, Conor Benn defeated Chris Eubank Jr. by unanimous decision, avenging his loss from earlier this year. Their first fight in the spring ended with a points victory for Eubank.

After getting his revenge, Benn made it clear he considers the rivalry finished.

“I’ve got one up on you, Nigel (addressing his father).

It’s been a long journey, and I feel this is the end of the Benn–Eubank saga. That’s it — finished, done.

Everyone said I couldn’t box. What do you say now?

This has never happened in history. I want to give credit to Chris — thank you for sharing the ring with me,” said Benn.

Their fathers also fought twice: Chris Eubank Sr. knocked out Nigel Benn in 1990, and their 1993 rematch ended in a draw. Conor Benn has now become the first Benn to defeat an Eubank.
