David Benavidez: "I Know What Happened in Sparring with Bivol. I Can Knock Him Out"

Reigning WBC light heavyweight champion David Benavidez is confident he can knockout the WBO, WBA, and IBF champion of the same division, Dmitry Bivol. Before Benavidez moved up to the light heavyweight division, the two shared the ring for sparring sessions.

“I sparred a lot with Dmitry Bivol. So I know what happened in those sparring sessions. I could beat him. I could knock him out,” Benavidez stated.

Currently, Benavidez's team is in negotiations for a fight against Gilberto Ramirez. If this confrontation takes place, it will be a bout for titles in the cruiserweight division, as David has stated his desire to be a world champion in two weight categories simultaneously.
