WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) shared details about his intense training schedule ahead of his highly anticipated rematch with Tyson Fury.
The Ukrainian fighter revealed that he trains three times a day, maintaining an unrelenting work ethic despite the successes he’s already achieved.
"I’m still hungry. My first training session starts at 5:30 in the morning. Every day. When I wake up, I thank God. I cross myself, I pray, and then I go to training," said Usyk.
"My second session is at 12:00, and the third one is at 18:00. I’m still hungry. The only difference is that now I’m 37, while when I started, I was 15," he continued.
In May, Usyk defeated Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) by split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in 25 years. Their rematch is scheduled for December 21 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
