Usyk on Not Being Undisputed: “OK, it’s temporary”Oleksandr Usyk / Ready to Fight

Three-time undisputed world champion Oleksandr Usyk was a guest at the WBC congress being held in Thailand. In his welcome remarks, Usyk also referenced the undisputed status he does not currently hold after leaving the WBO title vacant. At the moment, the organization’s full belt is held by Britain’s Fabio Wardley.

“Sawadee khap. I'm happy to be here. Listen, I have four belts, yes? Now, three. A lot of people say: “Hey, you're not undisputed champion”. Ok, it's temporary. I have 4 belts, but favorite it's green color every time.

Mauricio, thank you so much for what you do. I like Thailand. I'm here first time, but I like” – said Usyk.

Oleksandr’s return to the ring is planned for 2026. The WBC congress may determine who will become the World Boxing Council’s mandatory challenger for Usyk. That spot could go to Agit Kabayel if he wins his next fight.
